Assistant Principal of the Year Award
OASSA, along with NASSP, annually sponsor the Ohio Assistant Principal of the Year competition. Selected members of the OASSA Board of Directors serve as the screening committee for applications. Ohio’s recipient is a guest of OASSA at the Fall Conference held in Columbus.
Ohio’s Assistant Principal of the Year is given the opportunity to compete for the NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year. A separate application is required, as well as membership in NASSP.
2026-2027 POY & APOY Nomination Process
Continuing this year, OASSA will recognize both a Middle School Principal of the Year, Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year, a High School Principal of the Year, and a High School Assistant Principal of the Year! We have made the nomination process more streamlined, and we hope that you will not only consider nominating a deserving leader, but also share this form in your athletic leagues and other collaborative spaces on behalf of OASSA.
Nominations for APOY and POY will end December 31, 2025.
