Qualifications:
Master’s Degree including graduate credit hours in professional education with major emphasis on administration, supervision, curriculum and related areas.
Appropriate state of Ohio license – Administrative License or eligible for an Alternative Principal License
At least three (3) years of prior effective teaching experience
Knowledge of the curriculum used by the Vermilion Local Schools
Knowledge and skill in education technology
Valid Ohio Driver’s License
Successfully passes a BCI and FBI background check.
Additional Information: Seeking a self-directed, highly motivated secondary administrator to learn multiple facets of instructional leadership and building management with a passion for matching student strengths with potential career pathways as Director of the Workforce Development program and Digital Academy. The candidate needs to possess high-functioning capabilities in teaching and learning, using technology, communicating orally and textually, working with others, building and maintaining relationships, and managing time, resources, and people. A sampling of day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing the workforce development and digital academy programs, conducting staff evaluations, meeting with parents, students, and staff, providing building supervision, managing building operations, planning professional development, implementing the code of conduct, and attending school events.
