Master’s degree (M.A.)
Appropriate State of Ohio certification/license
Minimum of five or more years of successful teaching experience
Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

Essential Job Functions:
Assist in providing innovative leadership in areas of curriculum, instruction, and student learning.
Supervise personnel in the Curriculum and Instruction Department.
Ensure ongoing evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices implementation.
Oversee, coordinate, and evaluate the early childhood, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and educational technology programs.
Manage the budget for high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and professional learning.
Oversee the piloting, adoption, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) toward the continuous improvement of instructional and learning practices.
Practice and implement the Ohio Improvement Process (TBTs, BLTs, and DLTs).
Serve as a liaison between schools and community, state, and national professional organizations, the Department of Education and Workforce, and regional service providers.
Supervise federal and state grant coordination, along with assigned staff, including Title II-A, professional development funds with programs grant administrator.
Keep the Director of Curriculum and Instruction informed in matters of curriculum, instruction, and professional learning
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Successful experiences as a teacher and building administrator
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in curriculum development and implementation
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in the evaluation of curriculum programs and student achievement
Demonstrated knowledge of student learning theories and practice
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of technology into the instructional program
